Hi there.
How's things?
How's your live going?
Are you enjoying your work? Family and other things?
Today is my day off, and I went to the doctors, and all of that, and then went to the beach.
And I had a walk along it, and i have never felt so close to God.
It was just me, and other people enjoying life with their dogs.
And no matter where you are or what you're going through, you're on your way, and you're ok.
No matter if people are telling you to fix things, or work better or faster, and getting frustrated because things are going right in their world, and no matter if that's true, you're on your way.
You're not in control of their lives, and no one can be in control of you.
No matter what happens or what you're going thorugh you can't make them any better.
And here's a news flash, no matter if they are telling you that you're no good, or what, or sworn at or abused, or bullied, no doubt that they are doing that others, no matter how ''popular'' they are, the truth underneath it all is , that they are probably very unpopular.
As I walked along the beach, I saw some dogs, and I love dogs, but this one had particular determination, he was a big boy, a lab cross, and he only had one eye, and he lost his eye quite recently.
And I thought recently, man even if I am bullied and abused at my work place, and I thought of this dog, how had no voice, no complaints, and only had one eye, and if it's a disease he will loose the other eye, and here it was walking up the sand dunes.
And what was this person complaint about me?
And all seemed useless a chasing after the wind, this dog couldn't but only rely on his feet and his one eye to see where he was going.
It told me that some people are pretty short sighted.
It also taught me seeing this dog, it was determined to get up the sand dune, and it felt no pity because of lack of sight, it knew that at the top it will flatten out and it will be ok.
My friend if you're thinking you've got to keep going, and keep going you shall, but the top will flatten out soon.
In the bible, it says, that the apostles worked hard with their hands during the day, and night, living not for themselves.
If you look around you, who do you like working with?
And who likes you?
It's not about sides, I don't take sides, but taking sides only leads to letdown and stressing.
The apostles weren't wealthy, many times they were flung into prison, whipped until bleeding, and then died, but they worked hard with their hands, sharing, what they had.
And that is what God requires of you, to work hard, to not wear the blinkers of lies and hate, but to live in freedom, no matter if they seem ''Christian'' or not.
It doesn't take long for a rose to look lovely during the day, but even the rose starts to fade and eventually die.
So no matter if you're on your way, and you're feeling awful at what has happened, be like the disciples, to work hard, because you're not working for money, you're working for God, and when you work for God you're always going to be blessed, even though it's hard.

are you doing too much?
Hi there,
It's been a while since I've been here.
The rain has been coming down, but there's blue sky about, so the thunder will stop soon.
I've been at work, and it's been great being back in my little kitchen.
After work, I caught up with my friend, i haven't seen in 6 weeks, and we were talking about what's been happening, and all the things around.
The people who's left us, and the new people coming in.
But we talked about work loads, and all that entails, my friend what is happening to you?
Are you finding yourself in a near burnt out stage?
Are you finding that, no one is there for you, in the work that you need to do?
Or perhaps, you're falling on others because they just do it better?
How can we become good leaders?
I can't tell you, but whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.
And take note on things that need doing.
There's nothing more frustrating with working with someone who is full of excuses.
Taking responsibility, is a learning, and i'm learning to take responsibility, for my own actions.
And yes there are some lovely things that my parents do, like register my car so I try not to get a fine, or get my library books back on time, so i don't get fines, and yes sometimes I fail, and I fail every day.
I'm probably failing right now.
The sunshine is out, and when we stop trying to be perfect, we find ourselves, the Cross has made you flawless.
However, with God's great love, and acceptance, he also wants us to pull our weight.
And work together as a team, the Paul illustrates this, that in Acts, and all through it, he tells us to believe and to put our trust in Christ, he went into cities, and churches, to talk to them about the freeing love of Christ.
Perhaps, you've been there, done that, know what i'm talking about, but I want to share with you, something.
Because God is a God of freedom, and if you're finding yourself in a trap, of work, or dangerous things, you can get out, you can escape.
We are only human, souls on earth, that are mortal, we won't and can't live forever, no matter if you hide it with work, or wrong relationships, or drink or what ever you find yourself doing.
Don't wash your hands saying that it's not a problem, or it will all go away.
It won't, and we need to talk about it, because a lot of people are in churches getting burnt out.
Or perhaps you're looking around and you don't know your friends anymore.
My friend, God is that light house, in the darkness.
In the storm that seems ever so big and waves are crashing around, light houses, were built to shine, out so that the boats wouldn't crash on the shore.
My firmed if you're wanting peace in your troubled sea, go to God.
You don't have to be strong anymore, walking on your own 2 feet.
God is there with you, and he doesn't use only Christians, either.
We will be more effective, if we do what God says to do, what he says in his word, walk humbly with your God, and obey him and others.
Well that's all I have today.

Motos
Hi there,
Today on the radio I heard a saying, about coordination.
And it went like this, ''I'm about as uncoordinated as a string puppet in a fully jetted spa pool.''
And that got me going, on a series of thoughts.
Because, in life we can think we have it so hard, in the way that, the bills have to be paid, ( I know this, because I have yet to pay the vet for the blood test they gave our lovely Tiggi 3 days before he died, and then one fine for driving, my car unlicensed for 6 months , then I drive home on a totally flat tire with out realising, then I get a notice in the library saying that I have to pay the DCC again for $60 worth of library fines.) in the mail this morning.
So added all up it's going to cost me around $500 all up, All because I was slack and tardy with my car, and library fines and secondly, was it time for our cat to die?
I got into the "Why Me'' stage, of thinking, and it didn't take long.
But looking back, on the day, with the things I have to pay, it's so so bad, it all can be done.
Then God told me I had a prideful spirit, so I apologized to God, and asked for the right mind to go about this.
Instead of keeping this way of thinking it got me about the motto, and sometimes our lives are uncoordinated, sometimes we are the puppet on the string, and sometimes the string is connected to things we can't change.
Is there more to life than to find out what's next to pay in the mail?
Was it an act of God's Grace that I didn't have a crash in my car going down the hill from work today?
When my Dad sends me off to work he always says to me, ''work under and open heaven.'' and I did today, not only did God give me the safety in my car, that I didn't crash, it got me up the hill to our home on a completly flat tire.
Is he by doing this showing me up?
Am I complaining about the things I need to do, or haven't done?
Have I lost the salt in my life to be effective?
It doesn't take long to get into the poor me stage, and that is one thing in life I don't want to get.
Bitterness doesn't only effect you, personally, but it effects others, see when you use salt you use it as a seasoning, or cure, but if you become bitter you loose your saltyness, your not that useful to others.
Jesus, warned us, in the bible that we should avoid bitterness because it does eat away at us.
He also said about anger, as well.
So my friend if you're facing the day with huge trails or the mentality of ''I wonder what the next bit of bad news is.'' look up, and see God, and know him, because when you talk to him, he will show you the way out of it.
Bitterness, anger and discontentment isn't really going to help you in the long run, it's going to way you down.
If you need to see someone, go and talk to them, get it out in the open, talk face to face and share and communicate, because we are really good at hiding behind the mask we always wear.
And all might seem ok, but we might feel like that puppet on the string, dingling and dangling around letting others make the choices we ourselves could be making, a step forward in the right direction.

2nd Acts chapter 2 and 3.
Hi there.
How's things going for you?
Are you feeling a bit stressed and a bit worn out by the things you've got to do?
Well my friend, as much as it sounds cliche, you're not alone.
Because Christ is with you, in your body, and heart.
So what am I going to talk to you today on?
Well this amazing piece of scripture, found in the second book of Acts, chapter 2.
My thoughts are with those who are going through a hard time.
Today I want to talk to you, about the holy spirit.
What is the holy spirit?
Peter, is the disciple of Christ, in fact he was the one who denied Christ, but then all of sudden out of that, he was made stronger.
Have a look at this passage.
Verse 1
"When the day of Pentecost came they were altogether, in one place. Suddenly a found like a blowing of a violent wind came, from heaven and filled the whole house, where they were sitting, they saw tongues of fire, and they spoke in other languages as the Spirit enabled them''
Can you believe it?
We read in Genesis, that the spirit of God hovered over the earth, and we read through Exodus that the Spirit lead the Israelites through the desert, and now in modern day Israel, here was the Spirit of God, giving the gift to them, speaking in different languages.
That everyone knew.
When you have communion with God, you are never the same, and Peter knew this, in fact he addressed the crowd.
After people joked that they were drunk.
He gives this amazing speech, that everyone listens to.
My question is,
Is the holy spirit with you?
Impacting on your life?
Are you changed like Peter, addressing the crowd?
Are we bold enough to step out of the boat, like Peter and follow Christ?
Jesus, saw his faith, he saw how enthusiastic he was for Christ, and Christ sees that.
He sees how authentic Peter was no matter how foolish his thoughts might have been.
Peter didn't stop there, because he had the fire of the spirit of God with him, and in him, and the Holy Spirit is in us.
Peter didn't stop there, he spoke to the Jewish people, he was just the same and out of the Holy Spirit, in Peter, others believed in Christ.
They sold all that they had, and gave the money to the people who needed it.
They lived in faith, knowing God, and he supplied them with all that they needed, and God added to their number daily, those who believed in Christ.
Something in me, feels so excited about this passage, because God meets us right where we are, if we're praying for a good thing to happen, he will answer, if we're praying for strength we will find it.
See, God doesn't need a big bright new church building, he doesn't need our coffee machines to stay away during prayer, he doesn't need our good intentions.
What I'm trying to say, is, God is with you wherever you are.
He is in that exam, in that assignment, in that struggle, in that constantly getting told that you're not good enough, or fast enough, or bossy enough.
And yes we need to stick to our guns, and fight, but if it's just useless words, just hang in there.
because while it might seem like you're loosing, your quietly winning the battle.
What the enemy wants us to do, is to get really angry, and then act of out of that anger, I was angry, silently for along time, you know that anger that melts away, and you can't be joyful, because the enemy has that grip on you.
Anger also runs in our family, so I had to come up with ways to just vent, it, and I found that in the garden, and in my cat who died recently.
The Holy spirit also drives out anger and fear, because the spirit of God is Jesus.
And we are blessed in our life because we still believe even though we can't see him.
Peter also knew this, because living in Israel at the time, people were pretty angry, and sometime to the point of being stoned, and put in prison, much like it is, now for the churches around the world getting persecuted.
They can't get in their cars and go to church, people can't pray, in their houses, people can't even pray with friends in public spaces.
And here we are in our new church buildings, and forgetting that Christ is in us, and I wonder how long it will take for a new church building to become dull and boring.
We have a drug problem in our city, we have domestic violence, sometimes in our own churches.
This isn't the time to hide behind closed doors.
Peter, spoke the truth, and out of that truth, people, came to know Christ, he wasn't pushy, he was patient, he only had told them and the holy spirit did the rest.
My friend if you're wondering if the spirit is still around today, it is.
Christ is in you, and he is igniting you, in your dreams, in what you want to do with your life.
My encouragement is keep dreaming don't give up.
The holy spirit, didn't die down, Peter went from strength to strength, and then died, but in that time he healed others, and God lived in others, and they shared what the knew.
Even if it's just a word of encouragement, to someone who needs to know that they are doing a good job, or help that enemy, or understand something that others are going through.
Whatever your hand finds to do, be it writing, or your job, no matter how mundane it seems, or that care work, that seems just never seems to let up, know that Jesus cares for you.
God is good all the time, and all the time we serve a good God.
May the same Holy Spirit that was with Peter be with you.

How do you see yourself?
Hi there,
How's things?
Recently, I've been thinking about self worth, and where we get it from.
How do we live?
Where do you get your worth from?
Do we get it through others and encouragement or discouragement, do we like seeing people successful or not?
How do we communicate to others?
It's sad to think that we are programed to buzz around in our heads full of things, that can be harmful to how we live.
Do we hold onto unrealistic expectations on our kids and on ourselves, on where or what we should do.
''If you're good you get this, if you study hard, and become dux you will get this Audi.'' there's no problem with rewards, but if we hold rewards above peoples heads, what is that doing to our kids and our generation?
I'm not saying hold back all rewards, but reward when someone is successful in small things, than saying unrealistically ''I want you to get this.''
Being realistic, is hard, because we live in such a instant generation, because we think we earn it.
Self worth, is something that comes with time, and it also comes with healing.
If you've been constantly put down, or sensitive to comments, about yourself that you've heard, you can become rejected.
That is what the enemy is wanting, if you're thinking about what you should be doing, and sick of throwing pennies in the well, pray.
Because when we pray, we can talk to God, and always know that he is there, in that rejection, in those times when you think that you're not right, or that you're doing something wrong, my friend if that is you, if you're always thinking about what you're doing or if you're continually wrong.
God is there, God is there when all around you turns to custard.
We were made to get on with people, but sometimes, you can't get on with people, and that's OK, because it takes all different tiles to make a mosaic.
And what are they made out of?
Broken tiles.
And out of your brokenness, no matter if someone is holding something unachievable over you, talk to them, because they need to know.
God is big enough to care for, don't discount that, because it's so easy to treat God like how we treat others, or how others treat ourselves.
God's ways are not our ways.
If you're struggling with that, you can talk to a Christian councillor, and talk about it, because self worth does effect us.
And it will set you free when you get help.
That is me for today,
Chloe

The super natural
Hi there,
Well it's another week, and I've slowly been thinking about what to write about.
Then by chance, we talked at work yesterday about sprites, because as you know I work at a castle.
I do believe in spirits, what are demons?
Fallen angels, but do I believe in human spirits?
No, because if you think about it, there is no life in them, Jesus disciples thought that he was a ghost when he walked on the water, the bible refers to the word ''ghosts'' 108 times.
And interestingly enough the spirit of God can be referred to the Holy Ghost.
Upon my research, ghosts can not come back to haunt their old places, they are demons, but we need to be careful of the demonic side, because they under Satan.
We are called to pray for protection, because there are evil out there, and there are people who speak to evil spirits.
God is there all the time looking out for us, but it should be us praying to him for protection, because if we don't we open ourselves up to all sorts and kinds of thoughts.
I was always told not to read horoscopes and all that, and I haven't, not because I was told not to do it, it is an entrance to the demonic side.
Demons can be seen in all sorts of forms, and because we are Christians we are protected by the force.
However, when Jesus was delivering people from Demons they knew his name, and what he came to earth to do.
So my friends, do you understand how powerful this evil can be?
That is why we should strengthen ourselves in the bible every day, not just because we go to church, not because we are Christians, and sometimes we can wear that badge on us, and be as far from Christ.
Being a Christian is praying actual getting down on your knees for them, because intercessory prayer is powerful, where we pray it doesn't matter, but we do need to pray for the people who are weak to understand the demonic side.
How strong can our prayers?
Well my friends friend, was interested in this side, and was telling her that it was no use, her mind was already made up and she was going into a cult, my friend didn't accept that, she went into her room, and prayed, 4 months later she saw this friend, and the friend said that instead of going in with her plan, she was returning to church.
My friend, if you are scared of what is out there, my advice is, be careful what you watch and see, because this another way, that demons can rule over you.
Pray every time you go into a house, or any building, that you know if and where there has be demonic activity, don't just brush it off, because Satan does know how weak we are.
And don't go along with the crowd, with the uprising of the programs there are, no matter if they seem harmless, that is another form of Satan.
We are called that the days will be dark, that the desire of sin will be stronger, because we are in the last days.
My friend, this is not to freak you out, but to make you more aware of what is out there.
We are children of the light not children of the dark.
Do not befriend, any thing that would make your mind weak, rather set your mind on things above not on things below.
That is all i have for you today.

Well it's another week, and I've slowly been thinking about what to write about.
Then by chance, we talked at work yesterday about sprites, because as you know I work at a castle.

The fathers Love for us
Hi there.
Well this is it, my 50th post.
I really didn't think it could get past 10.
However today I want to talk to you about, something that can come across a bit cliche, and a bit hard to understand, if you have struggled with love in the past.
And what inspired me was seeing a friend of mine with his kids, and the amount of Awe the kids were inspired by him.
Now that might sound a bit creepy, but if you think about your Dad, or someone you look up to.
What happens?
You want to have their excitement, their inspiration, basically what you want is, good.
You might think that's too simple, you might think, goodness is that the secret of life?
However as the clock strikes 8 am, in town, I wonder what you think about this day in age.
Have a lost your identity, do we know who we are?
Is it OK, just to enjoy the simple times, and that is what my friend was doing.
I'm not a parent, but I have good parents, and they always, always want me to succeed, they are teaching me at the age of 28, and yes i live at home, to be a good team player.
No one can tell you, if you're a good team player and keep in the game when it gets tough, stick at it.
Because you will win the game in the end.
God's love for us, isn't on a conditional contract, it's not a only as required basis, it's not a ''just enough for today'' contract, it is a lasting sealed signed and written in blood contract.
When we think of church, we sing about how good he is, and hear sermons, but do we really know Jesus in that personal way?
Are we actually talking to him?
Praying interceding, celebrating with him when someone has gone away, left the faith, and come back to it?
You might think he doesn't answer prayers, but I want to share with you, he does, he actually answers prayers to this day, even though it might seem a long way in coming.
Do we put the wrong enthuses on not answered prayers?
I think that perhaps we do.
And we get discouraged because we don't hear the ones that have been answered.
Anna in the bible, was Simeon's friend. she didn't leave the temple day or night, it says that she lived in the temple in her aged years, she had probably seen awful times, times when Herod issued that all the baby boys to be killed, in the hope that Jesus was among them, she probably saw all the wars that went on, still she remained in that temple, praying and interceding, that one day she might see the Son of God.
I and want to encourage you my friend, keep in that temple of God, keep praying for your friends, family, that issue in your life, whatever it is, who ever you work with, because what happens is, that because of your prayers, or the prayers you relied on, is showing the fathers love to them.
Yes, you might be affected in a way, yes that person may not apologize but are we living for our human side or for God's side?
When we're thankful, we actually love God.
So whatever you're up to today, no matter if the clock keeps chiming, and you're wondering what you're doing.
Keep in the temple of God, and when you're in that temple you know the fathers love, you know exactly what you're doing, what you're going to do,because God himself has given you the will power.
Don't be afraid of the dark, keep going.
Shine your light and never give up.
