Hi there.
How's things?
No really how are things going?
It's so easy to say, "Good." or "yeah ok."
How honest are we with ourselves?
If we aren't feeling so good, we hide, we pretend that we are ok.
In this day in age, we have things to protect us, like using our time of the net, hiding that, or in food.
Or addictions, or emotions, or perhaps you've been so worn out, down, that joy is just a passing thing, a distant vapor.
What ever your hiding behind, perhaps it's that scary person at work, or that church doesn't really do it for you anymore.
Perhaps, you've had a sad event recently, one where the only person who was there for you is no longer.
Jesus, loves you just the way you are.
Sometimes you can only cry yourself to sleep, and perhaps you don't even know your crying.
Jesus, is there for you.
And when others have ripped out, what little hope there was, no matter how much you've cared for that spark, to stay, and others have come and blown it out.
Remember, it's not completely gone, God has protected you, and that little spark is still in you, burning away.
God is always there.
God is all loving, when perhaps you haven't had any one love you for a long time, or treated you well, God always treats people with human kindness.
With God, on your side, you don't need to be afraid, of things, you don't have to be wary, of people.
Because God is fighting for you, and he is your guardian, and he's got you covered.
Even if you think other people are out there, and not happy with you, God is.
Jesus is there, and he'll give you a way out, when there doesn't seem to be a way.
Perhaps you can't get up, perhaps you're in that broken place, and you don't have the strength, to get back up again.
That's ok, just do your best, watch for signs, that you're not coping.
And talk to someone, because you can't go on if you're not coping.
And you don't have to get on with everyone, it's perfectly ok, to not be ok.
Don't hide, or try to do better, when things aren't going well for you.
You can't fix things in other people, and sometimes we can't fix what's going on inside of us, but we need to stop hiding, we need God, we need good families, and I thank my family for being there, and pulling me up when i've been feeling like my back is against the wall, and a way out.
Perhaps we need to look for friends, who are helping us, out of situations.
Take people's opportunities to pray, or help or just be taken out and enjoying some fun with people.
Because it's so easy to be all wrapped up and forget to have that fun, often that's the first thing to go when you are depressed.
So yes it probably hasn't been light hearted read, but hopefully been helpful.
Take care
Chloe
