Good morning there.
How are you?
I hope that you're good and well.
What have you been doing today?
This morning I went to the gym, at 4:45 this morning.
And I was in the garden all day yesterday, and I'm about to go out and take down a really big tent.
So that's on my 2 do list.
When I was in the garden, thinking about my life, and you take stock when you're out in nature, you really do.
I was confronted by my pastor, when we don't take Jesus for who he is.
What is Jesus to me?
Well he's everything.
You might not be holding onto him very tightly, you might have turned your back, but the thing is, he doesn't on you.
I'm quite an impatience person, patience isn't one of my virtues.
It takes work to work on patience, and kindness, and goodness.
It's time to deadhead in the garden, that is when all the flowers, have stopped flowering, and it's time when they turn brown, to cut them down.
And I felt like this, and Jesus knew that.
I thought life has long time passed me by, everyone else is doing level 5, and here I am, going to back to the drawing board, at the age of 31.
So I was thinking about my friends, and wishing I had their lives.
Yep how many of us do that?
We tend to think that the grass is often greener on the other side.
We often compare to them, we get our measuring stick out and we think we don't come up to their standard.
It often stems from something in our lives, that we have expereince as a kid.
Just putting it out there.
We often find ourselves competing for something.
We take that into, our adult lives cause we haven't learnt to deal with it as kids.
I was talking to a friend, who I see quite often, and I remember as a kid, writing down a list on what I'll never do, who's done that?
NO?
Or mentally?
NO?
OK, just me that's ok.
Breaking away, from the norm is hard, because it's our comfortable zone.
We trust in the known, not in the unknown.
Trust is hard, it's a learn built up thing over time.
Tramatic experiences, shadow, all that, and we wonder why we can't see the light anymore, it's not saying that it's not there, it's just that the clouds, or our thoughts have made it dark for a time.
Life is never easy, it's never a straight road, to follow, you have to navigate your way around choices, that we make ourselves, at every turn.
, and things like that.
We need our friends, and family, to be there for us, we need kind people who care, without wanting anything in return, and it's so selfish now days.
We all want something in return.
But to love them, as Christ loves them, to speak words of life, not trying to bring anyone one down, tall poppy syndrome.
So what can you get out this post?
Well we are loved by a reckless love, and that is Jesus.
And he will come after us, he will kick door down, for us, he will love us, with the most amazing love that no human can give us.
So put away the measuring stick, and all of that.
Be a person who keeps their word, that speaks value into people's lives.
Chloe
