Hello there my friends.
I hope that you're good, and well.
Well today I have to say I started the day with no plan, and it showed.
and it says in the bible, that without plans, the fail.
I had to come up with a plan B, for the boys baking today, after 2 attempts to make, mash mellow.
In my head I do, have a plan of what to offer to the boys, and today got told to raise the bar a bit higher.
which makes me think about, my baking. I perhaps, need to raise the bar, a bit higher. I'm wondering what the kids would like.
I don't want to go all fancy and spend hours working on some, things that fail.
I need to find recipes that work.
So it's a daily challenge, to come up with recipes that work.
Today I made 300 hand rolled cookies, for the boys tomorrow.
I'm slowly, trusting myself, with big quantiles, of things.
I find that the boys like Belgium slice, and cheese scones, and soup.
and they like cheese rolls.
I talk as though they're sea gulls, or feeding time in the shark tank at the local Aquarium. which isn't a bad sort of way to describe the seniors.
Feeding time at Kelly Tarltons.
But I want to share with you, with all this uncertainty going on, with massive job losses, and some of my friends have lost jobs, this week.
My past work place has laid off staff due to the virus.
We know that Jesus is our Saviour, and knows the plans that we have and that they are good ones.
It's easy to think that the grass is greener on the other side, sometimes we need clarity in our thoughts. and time to think.
To shut off all gossip and slander from ourselves, sometimes I don't know about you, but sometimes we are covered in it.
And it needs to stop, because it's not helping the other person.
Are we authentic in our work place or just wearing the Christian badge as a safety net to fall back on?
Agreeing with all that goes around while someone who we don't like does their job?
These are real times, that we are facing, and we must face them with Grace.
Finding hope in uncertain times, means to believe in something a bit deeper that just the surface.
Sometimes we need to come clean on a few things, and really see, things for what they are.
Sometimes are really hard to face, like work, because it give you a sense of achievement, that you're working as a team for the greater cause. Someone is paying you, to do your job, and it that security. Suddenly with that gone, your faced to loss. and it's a grief, that is hidden.
And when you are lonely, and you have no job it can be very dark.
When you're at that place, in your life when everything is going great or your friends life is going well, and you're wondering if you're forgotten.
My friend we know a Jesus that never forgets, he doesn't place you down and walks away, he is still carrying you.
I caught up with a friend who lost her son on Christmas day, she said, in our talk, that the only thing, that she felt was Christ carrying her up from that point and hasn't put her down.
And that is what he is doing to you.
He is carrying you though the things that you can't face by yourself.
He is always there to take you, and hold you and to stop you from running.
When we go through things that aren't on our list, we do rise up from it, stronger and better.
It's easy at the time, to come out with all guns blazing, but we know, that Jesus is watching over us. and he knows what is best for us.
I am a firm believer that things happen, and there's no right or wrong way, about going about it.
Things in life do happen, and it's not all our fault.
It is sad that people have lost their jobs, tragic in fact, terrible loss.
Heart breaking that people, are going through job losses at this point in time.
So my encouragement to you at this time, is to keep pressing into Jesus, keep pressing into him with all that you have got.
Because he knows that you are worth it, that love is worth the fight, and we have to fight to become stronger.
But fight righteously and with love. None of giving people a serve. but in kindness.
And with genuine love and grace.
Lots of love
Chloe.
