Suporting life.

Hello there.

I hope that you're well, there's some lovely mornings here at home, and the sea is nice and still. The birds are happy singing, and there's not much noise coming from the sub-divison in the field this morning.

We are still in level 3 lock down, and I have to say I've enjoyed my holiday.

I appreciate that some of us found it, out of our control, and was bored.

I enjoyed my 1 night at my flat, but got the call to come home, and I don't have to pay rent. while I'm not there as someone else is in my room.

I do miss Daphnne the Labrador, milk chocolate with floppy ears. the park is always exciting especially after the rain, and there's always new scents to pick up. a quick walk up the hill to find the school, which is in walking distance.

The boys will get chocolate cake, to start back with, and the staff something nice. Maybe a nice plum cake or fruit Christmas cake. My uncle rang up from hastings yesterday, and we talked about my 93 year old nana, who is still going strong.

I'm still in that mode of do I go back or don't i go back?
In my heart, I want to see what this life is  like. but I like home, oh well if it doesn't work out I can always come home.

I've been teaching Matt how to cook, so far we've made lental curries, chick pea curries, and pasta dishes. we work in the kitchen really well, and mastered some flat breads to have with the curries.

This is what I'll miss if I decided to go back to the flat, but Matt will come around.

I've also got back into creative writing, which I really love, a mixture, of courses that I did while homeschooling and other course I've done in town to get your own style. we printed off our stories, and made them into a hand bound book, which is still precious to me, today.

I'm also sticking within budget, and I have found a new place to go horse ridding in, so I'm really looking forward to how another teacher teaches. I'll be on smaller horses. Which probably suits me well.

I am ok with change, I have flatted in other parts of the country, and had to adapt to it, and found it really fun. I loved Timaru probably the best out of all my flatting experiences.
Where yes, I had the student allowance come in, and I hit the cafe scene, most weekends.
And my best friend Mel was up there, as well which was really lovely, Timaru is just the right size for everything, for moving away from home for the first time.

So my blog post is, about, life, and how you support it in general, what do you have in place, now. That is propelling you forward?
It might be work, it might be a new stage in life, but what is making you tick along  at this current time?

I was  thinking about this, and I thought that we'd turn to Colossians, Chapter 1.
In all all his writings, again Paul, writes and starts off with thanks giving and prayer. Which is important, to pray for others, and to remember people in our prayers.
Paul instructed the church at that time, with prayers of encouragement,  and not to give up, praying and ministering in the church.

We all need to be serving, in some way or another, it might be being on the church door for welcoming people into church, or being on communion, or on morning tea. It doesn't need, big in serving, it might just be small serving.
It's serving the lord all the same.

It might be outside of the church, with at risk children, putting goodness and faithfulness into them.

We are all called, to be servants of Christ, rolling up our sleeves and serve each other like we're serving Christ.

When we take a step back, Jesus takes a step forward, and we see just how much, he can do with us.

Sometimes it's just serving family, and he calls us to get our own house in order, first before we go out into our mission fields.

We have Jesus to come along for the journey. he takes us to where we need to be, he can accelerate prayers. and speed them up, and answer them.

Jesus moves quick and fast to hear our call.

So no matter, what you're doing today, have the mind of Christ, in you, serve others in your bubble.
And when you get back into work, Jesus is still with you, and he never leaves us or forgets where we are.
That he always hears, our prayers and is obedient to our cries and prayers of help.
He died so that we have life in abundance, and live it to the full.

Chloe
