I thought today, I'd share with you some thoughts.
As the fog begins to lift, and we can see the city we are waiting for the blessed assurance of Christ.
To go deeper with him every day.
We need to surrender ourselves to him.
When we go through the deepest trials, we need to get to know our bible, and know who are in Christ.
To willing go deeper into him, each day, not go be all doom and gloom about it, but really go full on with him.
A little while ago, I was talking to a friend, of mine, because I wanted to test out who I was talking to, to make sure it is God and not anyone else.
Our times that we have are so precious, that God is love.
I'm reading, a book called, ''First love.'' by Geoff Woodcock. I'd encourage you to read his final book of 5.
It is inspirational, and encouraging.
And we all need books that feed us, and it's important, to get spiritual fed.
Geoff's First love book, goes back to all the things that we know, but deep down do we know them in our heart?
Have we go so much information in our heads, that it's not getting into your hearts.
We constantly need new revelations, from God daily, to know where we are with him.
We can't just be pew warmers, but doers of the word and letting God guide us to himself.
When I was in hospital, and everyone left, I was just alone, with God and me, that's where it all started off. I wanted him in my life, to take over.
Jesus was in that room so often, that the nurses loved it.
There was a peace there in that room, that Jesus turned up, and he still turns up to this day, in my life.
He has kept me safe, and brought me this far, and the thing is, he never stops,
he's continually working it out for our good.
Jesus wipes the slate clean, so we can start off each day, fresh and new, but we have to know him in our hearts, not just our heads.
Just like the sea fog lifting this morning, we couldn't see a thing, but just like that the fog lifts, and we can, see the glory of God working in our own lives.
Just like that hospital room, we can minister to people, who come into our lives, for peace and comfort. Note that Jesus always asks for in invite, he is never pushing or shoving, to get in.
He patiently, waits, on the other side of the door, and it's up to us to open it up.
Many times I've thought why did I become a Christian, and what made me come to know Jesus?
I grew up in a family who went to church and it all seemed good, I changed a few churches, some community ones, to smaller ones, to not at all down south, I might haven gone 3 times.
It wasn't till I did a Sozo, that another veil was opened up and I could actually attend.
A natural, and spiritual blocking had come up, and I just was blue for a while, without really knowing why.
It's not until recently, that the lord revealed it to me, why. I had disobeyed him, at one stage, and it hurt me deeply.
And soon I will be working with the vulnerable children, which I will get training for.
It's important, I've learn t to get proper training, for situations, so that you know what happens, if things go pear shaped.
We are not born to carry such loads, by ourselves, nor are we trained to do so.
so it's important, to get the right help at the crucial times.
If we haven't loved ourselves, how are we suppose to love others?
I can not emphasize enough that it's important to have outlets, to have friends to talk, to when you are in tough situations, so that you don't carry a load to heavy.
Jesus commands us to walk with his yoke on us, that his one is easy and light.
But it's amazing what a good friend really does, and that you're all in it together.
To be singing from the same song sheet, as it were.
We often strive, so hard, to get noticed by our parents, by the people who love us, then when we don't get it we feel rejected and wondering what it is all for?
My friend, nothing here is wasted, not one thing, is, it's just adding richness to your own story, so that you can share it with others.
And when we get to those things, in life that are like road blocks, and we hit pot holes, and we think hang on a minute this wasn't the plan.
and divert, Jesus, in there to take the wheel.
It might sound all to simple to believe, it might not be your way, but the more we trust him the more he gives us.
It might not be earthly things, but what you're storing up in heaven, is riches. people will come to faith because of you.
Jesus loves you just the way you are, nothing is a surprise to him he doesn't leave you where you are, and then goes, walking off, leaving you to it.
He walks step in step beside us, making sure we are who we're born to be
We might have mental and heart scars, on our hearts, we might be so striving, that we loose faith in what we already have.
Jesus takes it all, and he puts us on his shoulders, so that we are held in his hands.
Jesus wants the same for you and for me, equal measures of goodness.
We can't buy our way into salvation, we can't trust ourselves to have eternal life, we can't go on our parents prayers to inherit eternal life.
We are called just to believe in him, and walk with him and love the ones, go with him, the moment he calls us, it might not be missionary stuff, it might be serving in your own church in your own city.
But do it because you are building the kingdom of God, and you are listening to him.
Step by step, he is walking with you, doing, what you're called to do.
So what are you called to do?
Love.
Love the ones around you, the ones that you adore, you cherish you miss, the ones, that mean so much to you.
Love the ones that are least of these, that even a cup of cold water is blessed to them. be it in our cities, in our homes, wherever it's meant to be, love Christ as yourself.
Love yourself.
For a long time I couldn't love myself, because we were like white washed tombs praising God in church, but our place was anger, bitter, nasty. Anger was modeled down, to children. it wasn't challenged, we had no one to turn to, so I was angry at myself, because I couldn't be strong, in bullying situations at my work place, which isn't now because I have changed my work, but for years, there was bullying going on. no matter how much I wished and prayed, and prayed, the best thing was to resign, and leave.
Because of that anger, it hurts us, inside, because it builds miss trust, we can't trust the ones around us, because of failing.
So I'm on a journey of healing. I remember walking along in my daily walks, I prayed to God, that the fist of anger would not come to Matthew or I.
What I saw in the spirit, was this hand, gripping us so tightly, that the power, of God, came, and just took that fist, of anger, and I remember that day, when Jesus finally freed us, from it.
And said it is finished, it's done.
And when Jesus says it's finished, it's totally over. he's destroyed it.
Gone without a trace.
Jesus knows what we're going through, he knows how to handle it.
Trust goes with love.
What does that look like?
it means confidence, belief, faith.
When we have confidence, we know without a doubt, that person is the saying the truth.
when we meet up with our friends, we trust that person is going to be there.
When we are in relationships, we trust that Jesus is the one that has brought us together, we are a union to that person, that we are one flesh.
When we are our family, we trust them with our lives, with our stories, with sharing the pains, and trials, to begin the healing process.
We trust God, that we have eternal life.
When we have those vulnerable around us, we nurture them so that they can grow, and make good plans and have good futures
When we give to places, we trust them with our money, that that money is going toward that person, or place or thing we put our money to.
Our returns, that we get back from tax, or pay tax, we trust them that they are right.
That if we get a return we return it to the kingdom.
It walks beside love, and in perfect love there is no fear.
We aren't called to fear these days, rather we have this hope in us, that says ''bring it on.'' because we know who we are in Christ.
And laugh. it might seem strange, but God does have a sense of humor.
A funny story, to leave you with.
I was talking to god, about something, that I wanted to do, I really wanted to bless this person, and God was telling me this way of doing it.
I then paused for a moment, and then read over what he called me to do.
None of it made perfect sense, and I said ''well lord, you have my bank accounts, I'm joined with you so I will do it.'' thinking it was part of what he called me to do.
In my heart, I heard his voice say ''Chloe I was only having you on.''
Lighten up a bit, I was having you on.
I was joking."
He said ''go on it's funny have a laugh.'' I managed to see what he was laughing at. and managed to laugh, with him, at the thing he was calling me to do.
Sometimes we get so legalistic that no matter what we do, how much we pray, how much we believe and push, to get his attention.
All we need to do, is have a laugh with Christ.
And lighten up,see, when Paul was teaching, he often had people ministering to him. he lacked nothing on his trips.
He worked so hard that he wasn't a burden to people.
We need to be like that, we need to come into an alignment, with Jesus, so that when the time comes, we can be refreshed by others.
That is my pray for you.
Chloe
