Praising God for a living hope. 1st Peter, chapter 1.

Hello there,

I hope that you're good and well.
We've just had a fantastic prayer meeting, here at home.
So I thought I'd dive into 1st Peter chapter, 1.

We were praying today, for our city, and for the people in it, and that we would be a city on our knees.

We prayed for the people in our hospitals, and our health sector, that we would stand up and be counted for.
That we would have our phones on us, at all times, and be praying for people.

We often have plans for our days, and when we are in balance with Jesus steps, we are in his plan. we have all this legislation and rules about coming to Jesus, but he loves us just the way we are, he loves us all the same amount.

We can't make him love us any more or less, greater or less than value, he constantly loves us.
Watching over us, all the time, making sure that our feet does strike a stone.
We have this living hope, in us, all around us, like a spring bulb in the dark, even now, getting energized from being in the dark, having been hidden in the soil of Jesus, when the time comes, we flourish.
We progress, with Jesus, because he is with us.

This book in the bible, was written, in early A.D,  60s, before Peter was martyred in 67 or 69.

Our bibles are precious, precious books.
Just putting it out there, people are dying for their faith, and it hasn't stopped.
Too long we have become, this safe thinking society, that we don't need anyone to tell us what do, but we do need Jesus. He is the only way, the only truth and the only life.
We are holy, because Christ is holy.

Rejoice because you have come through the fire, and been made pure in the sight of Jesus.
Often we conceal, ourselves, we hide in the ways of others, we follow the ''other flock'' when we should stand up and be counted.

We have children, going through school not knowing their gender, we have students, in our University's that have so many  choices to make, that we loose our true identity.
My life before my breakdown was borring, now it's anything but that.
I am so excited about what the lord is doing, in people's lives, we need people who are willing to preach, teach, pray. that is why, it is good to be with others who fully believe.
It might be in a big church, it might even be with 2-3 people, whereever you are, now, know, that we have this amazing living hope in us.
We're not spring bulbs hidden in darkness now, we are like Jesus, flowering in his garden, of Eden.

I wonder what it was like,  back then?
When Adam and Eve totally relied on Jesus, they felt no shame in what they did, the relied on Jesus's every thing.
That must have been amazing, just to be with the Lord every day.
We can also be with the lord everyday like, them.

We face every trail, and tribulation, every day,  but we know that with peserverence it, produces fruit.
Good fruit, none of this ''odd bunch stuff'' that you see in supermarkets.
we're not export quality, but with God's import quality, we can become export quality.

You might have dreams now, and you might have partially open doors, but, with Jesus on our sides, he makes those partially open doors fully open flung wide and we can walk through anything.

We are genuine quality, people of the lord,we have a higher calling.
How's exciting is that?
A higher calling from the lord.
None of this mundane, work, instead , work that is from the lord to fulfill.

We might not see Jesus working in our lives, in a human sense, rather we know he is working for our good, because he loves us.

We are receiving, the goal for our lives.

Amen thank you Lord.

We can do anything with his strength that he gives us.

We are made in his image.

Amen thank you Lord..

We are called to be holy, what does that mean?

Set apart for the lord, not in an old fashioned way, but in a way that makes us  want others want what we have.

We need to prepare our minds for action, and be self controlled, set our hope on, the grace, of Jesus.

What does grace mean?
Grace means?

It means by on line dictionary, to give honour,  or credit to someone or something.

Now days we have lost alot of that, we have posts of facebook, insta gram, of what we have for lunch, dinner, supper, second supper, our whole lives are based around food, who said what, what's going around, all that sort of rubish.

We give credit, and honour to ourselves, 99.9 % of the time.

But what if we give that all back to Jesus or the person who made the food, or the friend that we have?

We want to be around those people that jesus puts us in contact with, because he loves us and he knows, that what we need at any given time.

Being humble today, is an art, a true art of not taking credit, when it is tempting to be so.

We have the pure life blood of Jesus in us, we are without blemish or defect.
he was here long before the world began, but reaveled in the last days.
so that we are called to believe in him.

We go through this purifying process. because, we were impure, blemished  defected, on all accounts.
Have you seen wool in a wool fadge?

It's dirty, it's oily, it's full of thistles, its ''daggy'' but you'd notice that the wool when a sheep has been shawn that the closser the wool is to the skin of the sheep, it's pure white, and when the wool has been washed it is pure white like snow.

We simply must go through this purification process, because it produces character, and hope.

The world always needs, hope it's crying out for it.
We are children of hope, what amazing thing, of our King Jesus Christ.

That is me, for now.
Chloe
